Week 10 #23

So this is the end! I found that the bloglines can be a quick ready reference for my favorite websites.
Also the wikkis are a good source of editable information about any topic. What we have done with these exercises, besides having fun, will allow us to better help customers with the new emerging web technologies.
YouTube is a very useful web feature for music videos, visual training purposes as well as entertainment.

Week 9 # 22

I went to the OverDrive website and I listened to Play and Learn Spanish. Also there were insteresting audio books on both adventures and comedies. The LibriVox had the podcast choice on the home page which made it easy to locate.

Week 9 #21

I looked at Podcast.net & Podcastalley.com. At Podcast.net I listened to Travel in Italy. It is very informative.
I also listened to the Pritzker Military Library audio regarding the German Military.

Week 9 #20

I really enjoyed the movie about Colombia, S.A. in YouTube.
The only thing I disliked was some of the other listings on the side panel were distasteful.

Week 8 # 19

Zoho Writer was easy to use.

WEEK 8 # 18

I did like the NASCAR site
I did not really care for Myspace - too many commercials, etc.

Week 7 # 17

The most recent event that really impacted our work and our customers it was when Horizon went down.. but also many positive things came out too, a great team work within our branch like a big chain that hold us together to hit the bad time.

I posted to the Love Never Fails Blog!

Week 6 # 15

Iceberg link: "We need to shift direction, and we can’t wait for the big ship of our profession to change course first. It’s going to have to happen one library—one little boat—at a time". I do agree with the author the libraries need to keep pace with new technologies.

Week 6 # 14

I found the tag searches to be the most useful. I really enjoy seeing the solar tree images in Vienna when doing the popular search.

Week 6 # 13

I found some use for doing searching blogs and various topics of interest. Some of the comments were trying to explain their own experience and it appears to be a good research tool.

Week 5 # 11

Some of my favorite books are mainly related to Art and Antiques and also I really enjoy re-reading all Garcia Marquez books and not only the few I could include today on this exercise.
